Prepare Trial Balance for Mr. Ravi Pvt Ltd (Chennai Branch) as on 1st April 2022 from the following Ledgers.

Create a New Company

  • Go to the Gateway of Tally.
  • Select "Create Company" or "Company Info" (exact wording may vary based on your version).

Enter Company Details:

Fill in the details for Mr. Ravi Pvt Ltd (Salem Branch).

  • Company Name: Mr. Ravi Pvt Ltd (Chennai Branch)
  • Address: [Enter the company's address]
  • Financial Year: April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023
  • Books Beginning from: April 1, 2022
  • Country: [Select the country]
Company Create

Go to Gateway of Tally:

  • You'll start at the Gateway of Tally, which is the main screen.

Access Accounts Information:

  • Navigate to "Masters" by selecting it from the main menu.

Create Ledgers:

  • Under "Chart of Accounts," select "Ledgers."

Create Capital Ledger:

  • Press Alt + H or click on "Multi - Masters”.
    • Name : Capital
    • Under : Capital Account
    • Amount : Rs. 920,000

Create Creditors Ledger:

  • Similarly, create a ledger for Creditors.
    • Name : Creditors
    • Under : Sundry Creditors
    • Amount : Rs. 188,520

Create Bills Payable Ledger:

  • Similarly, create a ledger for Bills Payable .
    • Name : Bills Payable
    • Under :Current Liabilities
    • : Rs. 69,300

Create Sales Ledger:

  • Similarly, create a ledger for Sales.
    • Name : Sales
    • Under :Sales Accounts
    • Amount : Rs. 12,18,500

Follow the above steps for below Ledger.

Create Provision Ledger:

  • Similarly, create a ledger for Provision.
    • Name : Provision
    • Under : Provision
    • Amount : Rs. 13,200

Create Interest Received Ledger:

  • Similarly, create a ledger for Interest Received.
    • Name : Interest Received
    • Under : Indirect Income.
    • Amount : Rs. 3,400

Create Building Ledger:

  • Similarly, create a ledger for Building.
    • Name : Building
    • Under : Fixed Assets.
    • Amount : Rs. 7,00,000

Follow the above steps for below Ledger.

  • Similarly, create a ledger for Debtors.
    • Name : Debtors

    • Name : Stock
    • Under : Current Assets.
    • Amount : Rs. 1,50,400

Create Bank Ledger:

  • Similarly, create a ledger for Bank.
    • Name : Bank
    • Under : Bank Accounts.
    • Amount : Rs. 1,45,340

Create Bill Receivable Ledger:

  • Similarly, create a ledger for Bill Receivable.
    • Name : Bill Receivable
    • Under : Current Assets.
    • Amount : Rs. 58,440

Create Purchase Ledger:

  • Similarly, create a ledger for Purchase.
    • Name : Purchase
    • Under : Purchase Accounts.
    • Amount : Rs. 8,55,220

Create Carriage inwards Ledger:

  • Similarly, create a ledger for Carriage inwards.
    • Name : Carriage inwards
    • Under : Direct Expense.
    • Amount : Rs. 12,910

Create Carriage Outwards Ledger:

  • Similarly, create a ledger for Carriage Outwards.
    • Name : Carriage Outwards
    • Under : Indirect Expense.
    • Amount : Rs. 8,000

Follow the above steps for below Ledger.

  • Similarly, create a ledger for Investment.
    • Name : Investment
    • Under : Investment.
    • Amount : Rs. 89,220

  • You'll start at the Gateway of Tally, which is the main screen.

Access Accounts Information:

  • Navigate to "Masters" by selecting it from the main menu.

Create Ledgers:

  • Under "Alter," select "Ledgers."

Create Cash Ledger:

  • Press Alt + H or click on "Multi - Masters”.
    • Name : Cash
    • Under : Cash in Hand
    • Amount : Rs. 9,880

To use the default ledger, press the page up button.

Select Chart of Accounts:

  • Under the "Display" menu, choose "Account Books" and then select "Ledgers" or "Group Summaries."
